Frequently Asked Questions

How did you come up with the concept for I know in my heart?

Way back on Valentine’s Day in 2017…
Check out our About page for all the steamy details!

Who are Holt and Nino?

Great question! Holt is the author and creator of I know in my heart and Nino is the book’s illustrator. Visit our About page for more about us.

Where can I purchase the book?

You can purchase the book right here on the website using our built-in shopping cart. You will also be able to purchase the book through all the major book retailers and online booksellers, including Amazon.com.

Will you do a book reading at our school?

We would love to! Contact us about scheduling a reading at your school, library or event using our book-a-reading page. We’re currently limiting our travel to a 50 mile radius around Dade County, Georgia but as the book’s popularity grows we hope to be able to expand that 50 miles to all the way across the country!

Why aren’t your characters boys or girls or animals we recognize?

Great question! It’s simple, really. We want children to be able to associate with the characters based on the characters’ personalities and to not let the fact that it’s a boy or a girl or a dog or a cat get in the way of understanding and relating to the characters.

Where do the characters live? Is this Earth?

Hah! Well, I guess it could be Earth… in another time, through different eyes…
To be honest, it’s wherever you want it to be. We made the world whimsical and fantastical so as to be unfamiliar, yet still comfortable so the reader can embed themselves in the illustration and turn it into whatever their heart desires.

Why is the main character covered with so much machinery? What happened?

Another excellent question! Maybe the machinery helps them get around and see or hear better. Maybe they were made that way and everyone is like that where they come from. Maybe it’s just because it’s fun. Or, maybe, just maybe… it’s all of those reasons and more! I’ll bet, once we get to know them, we’ll understand a lot more about them.
